    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromBest bang for the buck For 20 bucks you cant find a better knife than this. its midsize. has a grippy handle, .bottle opener and is very sharp. leathermans are sharp and stay sharp period. much more so than gerber. i had this knife in black and lost it. then i bought it again with the metal handle and serrated blade which they dont make anymore but metal handles are slippery. worthless on belt bc they slide off so easily but ok for inside pocket. so will get this one again someday, my advice .. stick with thermoplastic handles for grip and non serrated blades. but everyone still needs at least one serrated blade in their collection. i just prefer regular blades now and even smaller ones for daily carry but this a good knife for the money to keep in car or even carry with the clip. not the thinnest but if you want a thin knife they are mostly metal handles. i wouldnt carry it on a belt bc its so sharp and does not lock close. it could come open so you need a case or sheath for belt carry but back pocket is fine. front pocket its a little too big.

by fromSweet knife for a great price! NICE sharp blade that holds an edge. Great for cleaning fish and also heavy enough to knock them out. Super light and comfortable in the hand. Locking mechanism is solid. Pocket clip grips even thin fabric ie nylon hiking shorts. GREAT knife, especially for the price!

by fromPerfect starter knife Perfect for a boy's first knife. Son received his toten chit in BS this is what he wanted rather than what he could have got. He saved up and I must say is very pleased. It has come in handy on many a camping trip as well as helping mom around the house!

by fromElegant, but not for me The knife was bigger than I realized; too big for most people to carry in a pocket. The knife is light weight for its size, which may make it attractive to hunters, or someone on a quest. Nothing around the house or on a backpack requires such a large blade. The bottle opener is an elegant addition, 'cause its the one tool you need while camping. But the carabiner clip is fairly useless, and there is no place to attach a lanyard or keychain. The knife opened ok, either by thumb stud or griping the blade, but this could be made much more convenient by exposing more of the closed blade. Closing the knife was inconvenient, the old thumb nail deep in recesses of the knife trick. The design far outweighs safety over convenience, making the knife a little frustrating and a little unsafe. I.e. the chance of dropping the open knife on your foot while struggling to get your thumb nail on the safety while not dropping the rope you cut is much greater than accidentally depressing the safety latch.

by fromVery good knife and great price Good pocket or EDC knife at an exceptional price and it's also "made in the USA." It's light in weight, feels well built, appears to have bronze pivot washers and no blade wobble. Mine was sharp out of the box and has held its edge. Blade was stiff at first to deploy, especially quickly. However, after a month of use it broke in and can now be drawn quickly with one hand.
