The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
by jham65fromVery bright lightI use this light during all my road rides, day or night. It is bright enough to be seen during the day and gives me an extra measure of safety. The light is very narrow, barely wider than my seat post, which is great as other lights would hit my thighs if they were much wider. The battery life is great. The only worry is how strong the connection between the light and the seat post mount is-seems a little weak. I know Light and Motion stands behind their products so not too worried.

by RyanDavidSeniafromTrue Visibility10-20 dollar rear lights do not attract the already divided attention of drivers on busy streets. Do not risk becoming a pancake. This light will get you seen. Rechargeable from any cellphone/usb charger. Highly worth the extra money if you will be on shared roadways.

by PGS1fromAbsolutely the BEST ! ! !Absolutely the best tail light I've owned, easy to install and easy to remove for charging.
I have 2, use 1 on the bike all the time for both day and night riding, the other on a safety vest for early a.m. or late p.m. running.
Am a huge fan of Light & Motion, also have the 360 Vis and Urban 500.
They are not inexpensive lights, but it's my responsibility to be SEEN, and as the commercial says "I'm worth it". The consequences of not being visible way out weigh the cost of these lights. Great products, would highly recommend them.

by MageeverfromBetter than I ever imagined. This product surprised me with how versatile it is.
-Very bright across different modes
-Less bright mode for when in riding with other riders (yes it can be bright enough you don't want to be riding behind someone else using it)
-Discretely fits in many locations on the bike and is very secure.
-Battery life is excellent. 6 hours on high is easily achieved as advertised.
The only negative is that the power button is located opposite the usb port cover and they feel the same with a gloved hand. You need to remember which side its on and rely on muscle memory to turn on and off during a ride. Still love it, though.

by MatthewinSEAfromNearly perfect tail lightLike a lot of other tail lights, the VIS 180 will get you seen at night, and the rechargeable function will save you money compared to the battery powered blinkies like the Planet Bike Superflash series or NiteRider CherryBomb that are so common here in Seattle.
I love this tail light because you get true visibility to the sides due to two little amber LEDs on the lower sides of the light that get you noticed by cars merging into traffic or coming out of side streets. Also, it has an integrated red reflector built into the light that actually works (it's made out of the same stuff as conspicuity tape on trucks) - a lot of other lights have cheap refractor based reflectors that aren't visible until too late.
The flash modes are smart. Instead of the strobe-like flash patterns on cheaper lights, the Vis 180 slowly increases intensity then decays back. Drivers behind me have rolled down their windows to tell me that they appreciate it. The Vis 180 also has a paceline mode where only the amber lights blink, which is great for riding in groups.
The mounting options include a strong clip option for placing on clothing or bag loops, but I prefer its strap based, tool free mounting option. I haven't lost this light over a year of riding on really bumpy roads... I usually lost one or two a year when I had the cheaper battery powered lights like the Superflash or CherryBomb.
The only reason it's a 4 star light and not a 5 star light is that I don't like how the LED itself is so high on the light body. This means it can potentially be obscured by your saddlebag if you don't have a lot of exposed seatpost and/or a layback seatpost. I have both, so the light is hard to see if you're in a vehicle that rides high above the road and you're close behind. It'd be better if the LED was centered on the light body - it'd make a big difference.

by Ken619fromMore than I was expectingFirst off i want to say that this light is far more of a light than i was expecting.
Super bright LED, most of the surface area is a red reflector and with equally bright amber side flashers what more could you ask for?
It has a long mounting strap so placement is almost limitless. It easily detaches from the mount so you can take it with you if you are worried about it getting stolen and to charge it overnight.
Speaking of charging, it couldn't get any better, when you get home, take it off and plug it in, when you are ready to go in the morning, slide it on the mount and go!
