I am a hockey mom. I film the games so I stand the whole game. These boots are comfortable and warm! I've been to Detroit in the winter with these boots. Brought two other pairs of boots with me and these were the warmest and most comfortable. I like the strip in the back. A bit bulky looking but a great buy for the price.

Comments about Sorel Fernie Boots - Women's - 2011 Closeout:

These boots are warm, and comfortable. I love the stripe on the back, I think it gives the boot a distinctive look rather than being drab and boring. I wore these walking the dogs in frost and black ice, I could feel the ice beneath my feet, but did not have to walk as gingerly as I would with sneakers. Also, plenty of room for me to pull the boot on and off, tucking in my jeans without looking bulky. And I have athletic calves, so it's hard to find boots that fit this well.

Comments about Sorel Fernie Boots - Women's - 2011 Closeout:

I have loved Sorel boots for a long time. I was very excited to see these boots and find them on sale! They looked similar to my old Sakari Sorels which I loved. However the anterior ankle portion of the boot seemed bulky and my achilles rubbed on the back of the boots a little when just wearing them in the house. These boots had thin nubuck leather compared to many Sorel boots available. They just didn't seem as nice as other Sorel's. I returned them because I didn't feel like they were as nice as my other Sorel boots. I think they are a great deal for the price, just not what I was looking for. I wear a 6-6.5 and ordered a 6 which fit perfectly.

Comments about Sorel Fernie Boots - Women's - 2011 Closeout:

I returned these boots because when I took them out of the box, I was surprised to find a vertical strip of fabric down the back, made up of bands of all sorts of colors and just not what I was expecting. Since there's no photo of this, I wanted to pass along the info to keep anyone else from being surprised. I had the lighter color; don't know if the fabric is present on the darker boot.
