Comments about High Sierra Wave Hydration Pack - 70 fl. oz. - 2012 Closeout:
This worked fine for the first few outings, and then the valve began to leak. It was very disappointing that this product did not last very long. It also gets cross-threaded easily, making it difficult to close without soaking the pack.

Comments about High Sierra Wave Hydration Pack - 70 fl. oz. - 2012 Closeout:
I got this hydration pack to use inside my "hydration ready" 70L pack. It has a relatively thin and light fabric shell - enough to prevent a tear or puncture in the bladder when I overstuff my pack. The straps are pretty minimal, but I don't expect to carry it very often outside my backpack (but they're good enough if I wanted to). The bite valve is different from the typical Camelback or Gerber valve, but the flow through it was good. Insulated tube is nice, but wish it was a couple inches longer. Only complaint is it's not easy to free the bladder from the carrier for cleaning and inspection because of the cap keeper. If the hole in the carrier was a little larger so you could remove or insert the bladder with the cap and retainer on, it'd be perfect. As for it's merits as a stand-alone hydration pack, it seems a little flimsy but for my intended use inside a large pack, it's great.

Comments about High Sierra Wave Hydration Pack - 70 fl. oz. - 2012 Closeout:
I wasn't sure what to think as the only other reviewer here hated his so much. I checked out [@]and they had good reviews, so I went with it. I take it kayaking. I find no problems with it leaking. It works as it was meant to. I like it very much. The only complaint that I have is that the mouthpiece can move around. There is a strap across the chest to hitch it to, but it seems to fall out. Having the water along is great and it does it well. I like mine. : )

Comments about High Sierra Wave Hydration Pack - 70 fl. oz. - 2012 Closeout:
Purchased this product in past, but not at REI. Had terrible problems with its design and construction; always leaky due to these flaws.
Contacted the company for refund, but was rebuffed in rude way.
Avoid this product!
