Comments about Ride Insano Boa Focus Snowboard Boots - 2012/2013:
Just got back from testing these boots for a week in the Sawatch backcountry. They performed extremely well. They're light, comfy, and super stiff. I used to ride Salomon Malamutes, but I like these so much better. I had way fewer problems side hilling on icy spots in these boots, which is huge. I know some people have reservations about boa in the backcountry, but if worse comes to worse I can duck tape my boots tight. The boa is truly amazing if you're splitboarding. Leave them a little lose when climbing, then take 3 seconds to crank them down at the top. Then take 3 more seconds to loosen them up at the bottom. Almost like having walk mode. If you don't know what I'm talking about demo a pair at the store and you will see the light. Boots stayed nice and dry in the spring slush. These are really good for the backcountry, but are light enough and comfortable enough to be warn just about anywhere for any reason.
Also, they fit true to size. I wear a 10.5, ordered a 10.5 and they fit perfectly.
