Great Boot

I bought these last winter for a trip to Finnish Lapland for New Years Eve. These were the only footwear I brought with me for the trip. They were very comfortable, not too-heavy and I did a lot of walking in them. My feet were always warm and dry while snow-shoeing, dog-sledding, snow-mobiling, sledding etc. There is not that much arch support but I don't really need a lot so I did not have a problem with them. One problem I did have with them was on a day when I wore socks that were lower than the top of the boots. I did a lot of walking that day and the top edge of the felt liner rubbed my calf and it got very red and chaffed. This was not a problem when I wore my higher, thick Smartwool socks. I really like the retro look of these boots, I wore boots like this when I was a kid in New England. They look great with jeans, best with boot cut. I also used them in Ireland hiking on very muddy trails in the winter, they were great.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
