Comments about Guava Family GoCrib Portable Travel Crib:
We ordered this crib online to use while traveling with our 6 month old. We had it shipped directly to our destination. It's well made and easy to use, however we had some issues with it...
(1) We bought the Guava Family sheets made specifically for the crib. They were washed in cold water and put in the dryer on low heat. They must have shrunk quite a bit because they are a very tight fit on the air mattress. Tight sheets are good for sleeping babies, but they were just too tight and it made the mattress lay unevenly.
(2) The bottom of the crib lays flat on the ground. We had 2 problems with this. If you have it on a hardwood floor, it can be cold at night. I followed suggestions posted by other reviewers about placing a blanket on the floor that is larger than the footprint of the crib. The other problem is that when you have a young infant like we do that has a hard time being put down to sleep, reaching all the way down to the floor is not easy. It was very difficult to place her on the mattress without disturbing her to the point of waking her up. It's a long reach and I struggled at 5'7". Next time I may try what other reviewers suggested which is to get down on the floor and place her in the crib through the zipper opening, hoping that closing the zipper doesn't wake her up.
We really like this product over other travel cribs because it has breathable mesh all the way around and to the floor and for its portability as a backpack. I just wish I could get her to actually sleep in it!
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was prompt.
The product arrived in it's own packaging with a shipping label slapped on the box and was severely damaged. It would have been better if the product was shipped protected inside a brown box.
I called customer service before opening the product to let them know how badly the box was damaged and whether I should open it or send it back. They instructed me to take pictures of the damaged box and then open it to see if the product was also damaged. They assured me that they would send a new one right away if it was damaged.
Upon inspection, the product was undamaged.
Customer service was very nice and helpful regarding the situation. I explained that this was a crib for our infant and that we needed it for our upcoming trip. I did not want our infant sleeping in something that was exposed during shipping and/or broken and unsafe. It turned out the crib was okay, but I appreciated that they were ready to locate another crib and quickly send it to us.

Comments about Guava Family GoCrib Portable Travel Crib:
My wife and I bought the GoCrib well in advance to our trip to Spain coming up in October. So far we've been really impressed with the ease of use and portability. It really is easy to setup and deflate for repacking. I don't fault the item itself for being difficult to repack, but it is a chore to get packed up as small as it came. With that said, I wouldn't travel without it. We feel very secure using the GoCrib for our little boy, it is extremely well made and works like a charm.
I can't recommend it highly enough! Just be patient when packing it up...
