    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Keen Ketchum WP Hiking Boots - Men's is rated 4.375 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot, ages fast After 75 miles on trail, off trail, scrambling scree, boulder hopping, and rugged use, I give these boots a big yes. After having numerous pairs of good quality boots, eg. Asolos, Zamberlan, all of which gave me blisters with any kind of serious use, these Keens are treating me right: NO blisters! Perhaps that's because they're made like the shape of the foot: wider for mid-foot & toes than heels, duh! What a relief to be beyond moleskin and that extra pain! On the performance side, they are a rugged boot that does all I ask, and give me both traction and protection when I need it, with good ankle support and pretty much broken in out of the box. I'd order 1/2size larger. That said, at 3 lbs. these are not ultralight, but when it comes to my dogs, I have not minded the slight extra weight for their TLC. Also, these boots are wearing fast, and don't look like they will last that long. But hey, I'll take the comfort and performance of a shorter relationship over the longer agony of a pretty but blistering one...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Serve a good purpose I use this boot for backpacking only!!! Keen Has great customer service first of all. I called and made comment about a little seperation between the sole and the leather,...They gave me a full refund. Just like that. -Keen Dry is only good for so long during a wet trip. -Early Nov. 2013 Hiked 15 miles in the snow, by the end of day 1, boots were wet, inside damp. By day two, my feet were very cold and wet. -I would not recommend this boot for extensive wet weather or snow travel. -Early summer through all summer into mid spring, I think would be a great time to put this boot into play. -1st to prevent seperation of leather from sole, put extra glue around seam of sole/leather. -2nd take the time to treat the leather before taking them on the trails or before use. They will perform and last a lot longer. -They are a great boot straight out of the box. I used them on a 30 mile hike with no break-in period.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from comfortable but short lived Was very happy with the boot for 8 months. Then noticed the rubber around the sole began cracking and separating, Park Ranger stated "not too many boots can handle the dry air and high temps of Big Bend Texas."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Large toe box I went to my local REI store to find some hiking boots with a a large toe box. My feet are not particularly wide, but I need plenty of room around my toes. My local is store is pretty large, but the only suitable shoes they had were two Keen models. After about 20 miles or so I've been very happy with these shoes. I won't be sure these are keepers until I do some steeper terrain, but so far, so good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best boots I've bought yet I primarily use this boot for snowshoeing. It's SUPER comfy and most importantly, waterproof. I mean, my feet don't feel so much as a drop of moisture regardless of how much snow/slush I wade through or exertion level. The tread is fairly soft and provides superior traction in dry environments, as well. The fit is fantastic, however, I find that the ankle support isn't nearly as rigid/supportive as other boots I've owned. For my uses, though, it's a great boot and I would make the same purchase again without hesitation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect--Out of the Box! Returning the Merrell Phaser Peaks I purchased recently--thank you, REI, for your great return policy. The Merrell's didn't fit me well: ankle was too puffy, tongue was too thick, felt like I was walking on a very stiff blob of boot. I have a low-volume foot. The Keens, however, fit PERFECTLY right out of the box. I have Keen shoes, sandals and slippers--these boots fit true to size with the same fit/feel as their other footwear. Let's face it: these boots aren't for hiking/mountaineering, but they don't cost $400, they don't accept crampons and aren't stiff as boards, either. I'm moving to Anchorage and will use these for general fart-around-town wear. If you're looking for something to make you LOOK like you're a guide who's home on sabbitical, find another boot. If you want a boot that is comfortable as all get-out, get these! Again, fit is dead-on. Comfort is perfect. Thanks, Keen! Thanks, REI!
