          The brown is very dark, I almsot thought it was black right out of the box. That being said, I can put it aside as it still pairs well with most pants. I have a wide foot, and this shoe fits me very well in my usual size. I'm a fan that they are made in America too.

          Nice casual shoe. Not for serious walker or traveler. Lacks substantial arch support. A better choice would be many of the Keen products dedicated to hiking. Wore these on a recent tour of Italy and found my feet sore, not from the lack of cushioning, but from lack of support.

          I'm using these as work shoes, and have found them to be up to the task. Especially with application of boot oil, these boots provide the protection and ruggedness I need in a casual work boot. I just wish there was a little padding around the ankle.

          Service and delivery comments:

          Getting these boots was easy, even with the exchange I did for them. REI did a great job of working with me, and it was all done through the website.
