I bought these pants online for more of a winter wear pant. They are more of a wind breaker and are not insulated, so are not warm worn by themselves in cold weather. I haven't yet, but I plan to try these with a long under garmet to help keep me warm in colder weather.
I am a slender 5'8" at 150 lbs. and they fit me perfectly in the length, which is sometimes hard for me to find. However, they are slightly large in the waist and although I can wear them without a belt it is better if I do use a belt with them so that I'm not constantly adjusting. I can fit my fist between the pant waist line and my back side without stretching the fabric. They are a boot cut with a snap at the bottom hem adjustable to a smaller opening at the boot or shoe.
I love them. They do make a swishing sound as you walk due to the nature of the fabric, in case that is a deal-breaker for you.
