Comments about Solo Camping Lighter:
The lighter is smaller than it looks. It's a little bigger than your typical Bic lighter. The child-safety mechanism is the press-down rich. You need to apply some hard pressure to press down that switch to ignite the flame. So if you have muscle issues in your fingers, then this lighter may not be for you. It comes with a small leather pouch which I don't find useful. They could have included a water-proof pouch for it instead.

Comments about Solo Camping Lighter:
I bought this product because of its extandable flame which would be awesome to light propane camping stoves and grills. I filled the unit with butane, extended the flame nozzle and clicked the igniter and, wham, it lite on the first try! I thought, wow, this is going to be my go-to lighter for camping trips and to light my wood stove at home. Then I decided to adjust the flame according to the instructions. The lighter promptly expelled all the butane I had just filled it with!!!! Not only was that dissappointing I suspect that it could be somewhat dangerous. Obviously I will return it. Too bad.

The flame is totally useless. It's disappointing this product even made to the shelves.

Comments about Solo Camping Lighter:
Bought to replace my recalled Soto lighter. May light 1 out of every 25 times you click the ignitor. The smallest puff of wind will blow the flame out every time. A simple $1 Bic lighter works far more better than this. Would give it 0 stars if I had the option! Will be returning!

Comments about Solo Camping Lighter:
I returned the Soto Pocket Blowtorch, which never made it into the field before it stopped working, and exchanged it for the Solo Camping Lighter. It was easy to fill and lit easily. The flame extension feature should prove useful. The Soto was a piece of garbage, I hope this lighter is an improvement.

Comments about Solo Camping Lighter:
I just purchased this, followed the instructions on filling it and using it. It lights very sporadically and often times not at all. I will be returing it for a refund. A simple Bic lighter is more useful and reliable.

Comments about Solo Camping Lighter:
I purchased this in anticipation of using it to start small campfires. I received the item and it was not delivered with any butane in it. I went to the local cigar store and bought "premium" butane as per the instructions. I can get it to produce a flame 1 time out of about 60 times. I was trying to downsize my gear but this item is no help.
