I bought these a while back to try. Upon opening them, I noticed how cheaply they're put together. When you click them down, they feel like they'll fall apart. And eventually, they did break. Once pressed down, one of the lights wouldn't pop back up. They weren't much use. In addition, they weren't really bright, at least not visible unless you were in the middle of nowhere in pith black. In fairly lit areas, this light, front and back, would be easily drowned out. They were so cheap, I didn't bother to return them after they broke; I just threw them away.

open box and one set of batteries in one of the lights was already dead. I gave it the benifit of the doubt that maybe it had been left on in thestore or something so I bought an new pair of bateries on my own. soft plastic on the back began to gouge with the quarter I used to open per the instructions on the first use. once I replaced the batteries (not I still havent even mounted on my bike and used it once yet) I turn on the light and test it it works...so I turn it off...5 seconds later still in the off position the light turns it self on..hhmmm. so I turn it off again ....5 seconds later it turns itself on again...hmmm no wonder the batteries were run dead it wont stay off. the other light appears to be working so I mount it on my bike. ride to work the next day with slight rain with the light one. get to work and try to press the light to turn it off and its jammed and wont turn off. I have to unmount it take the batteries out to turn off. the off feature is still jammed and the batteries inside have a small amount of water inside so the design is not weather proof at all. another bad aspect. basically these light fail at every turn. as soon as it is possible for me to get down town and return this worthless set of lights I getting a refund. REI would do well to not sell this product.
