Comments about Marmot Grid Plus Tent - 2011 - Closeout:
I recently purchased the Grid Plus because I was interested in the Grid but needed extra space in the vestibule for gear and a dog. The Grid Plus is billed as a 4 season tent, which might be true, as long as it is not snowing. I recently discovered that the tent pole design forms two triangular sections on the sides of the tent which cause significant amounts of snow to build-up during a storm. This snow causes the fly to sag, which creates some serious condensation on the inside of the tent. The bottom-line is that this tent is easy to pitch, and the vestibule is great if you need lots of room, but it is simply not a 4 season tent where snow is a possibility. I still give the tent 4 stars due to outstanding performance in all other conditions.
