by MIRunnerfromNot good for little kidsWe bought these for my 4 year old, the laces broke within about 3 weeks of her tugging on them. The second set broke about 3 weeks after that ...now that they are broken in - when the laces are taught - there is too much lace at the top - creating a trip hazard - originally - we thought it would be great becuase she could lace them herself - not so much...

by blondieomomfromServes its purposeBought these for my six year old daughter. They served the purpose for a 7 week trip in Europe. Good to have on wetter days in London. Easy on and off in cars when long drives. She did not complain on the trip but as time went on we did make sure an adult pulled the laces tight so the shoe was supportive. The challenge was that the laces stretched and it became harder to get a tight fit and then the laces were too long as other person mentioned in a different review. Towards the end of the trip her socks were very smelly as a lot of sweating happened inside the shoe. I gave a three because beyond the lace issue and since we returned home she has not wanted to wear the shoes at all. I do think the waterproof element kept her feet dry in rainy weather when walking from building to building.

by Doc ShotfromGreat shoes, not great laces. My daughter really likes these shoes. I liked the great price. They fit well, and are very comfortable. She thinks they are stylish. Love that they are waterproof. They were bought primarily for going camping and hiking, but she wears them to school regularly. The only thing she doesn't like is the elastic laces. They tend to stretch out over time and become too long. Lastly, she normally wears a size 3, but the size 4 is what fit her best. Worth trying on first.
