The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about New Balance GPS Runner Sport Watch:
Started a run with my husband on a cloudy day and never got a signal. Got a signal on sunny days within 5 minutes. Wasn't difficult to set up. Directions were simple and easily understood. Like the watch but can't wait for sun to run. I'm going to try Garmin.

Comments about New Balance GPS Runner Sport Watch:
This GPS watch is the coolest running watch for the price. It keeps track of your runs, it tells you your distance, (even in thick tree cover), and has a heart monitor. It's also rechargable so it can hook up to any USB...I've used this watch in all weather and it's great. If you don't want to dish out the money for a Garmin this is definitely an excellent alternative.

Comments about New Balance GPS Runner Sport Watch:
So far this watch is exactly what I am looking for in a GPS watch - basic features at a very good price point. For myself, all I really care about is my pace, distance and time, and so far this watch delivers. I ran with my wife's Garmin 405 with this watch on a 10 mile run and the watches were 0.05 miles difference between the two, so I would say the NB watch is very accurate.
I'm still on my first charge and that has been three weeks ago. This three week timeframe includes 5.5 hours of GPS runs and the battery life is now at 30% so I'm sure I can still get in one more 90 minute run before having to recharge again!
The watch is very comfortable to wear, much more so than the Garmin 405 with its hard plastic sides. I do have to agree with other users about the ease of use. Not the easiest watch to use, but certainly not too difficult if you read the directions carefully. The GPS does take longer to acquire when you compare to the Garmin 405, but I've found this watch to acquire within 2-3 minutes.
The biggest improvement I wish could be made is the display. When running it would be nice for the top and bottom displays to be larger. So much room is spent on the middle display that the other two are a little difficult to make out ( at least with my slightly long site :). )

Sometimes takes more than 5 minutes to link to a satellite. I can't seem to figure out how to get it to start a "new" run...keeps picking up from the previous days run. Directions are not user friendly. This is a entry level watch yet I don't understand much of the terminology in the manual. All I want to do is hit run and GO...not spend 10min setting it up first. Very dissapointed. Hello Garmin!

Lighweight, no frills GPS sports watch. Finds signal quickly on sunny days, takes a couple of minutes on cloudy days. U get the basic information distance, pace, time, calories, etc. Personally that is all i need. I use it for running. For the price its a great deal.

Comments about New Balance GPS Runner Sport Watch:
I bought the watch to replace my worn out Garmin 205 as Garmin no longer offers a basic GPS watch anymore. All I needed was a watch to display current time, pace and distance. I have had this for two weeks and and am not sold on it yet. It was fine to display km/hr when I was on my bike as there only seemed to be one display I could set. Running is more of an issue with watch. The manual seem to imply you can display three things at once but I have not found this to be the case. When I set to display pace as the main item, the lower (smaller)display also shows pace, even when I have set it to display distance. The only way you see distance is when you hit 'stop'. When you resume, it reverts back to pace. I really do not need to see my pace in two places on the same display. I also found that it was not easy to know when the GPS was on or off so the battery ran down pretty quickly. It did charge up nicely though. I also find that the watch does not store any presets. Each time I start a run I have to try and figure out how to reset the display to what I want to see and then it only will stay on one one display. I also do not see the the need for the CHRONO display as you cannot toggle between them during a run as it will reset the watch. Once a run was finished, it was fairly easy to find all the basic information such as time, distance, pace. Overall, it may grow on me but the learning curve is very steep and it is not that intuitive to use. Not my best purchase.

Comments about New Balance GPS Runner Sport Watch:
This watch just didn't get the job done. Maybe it depends on where you are (I'm in Pittsburgh). I've used it a few times and now after looking at the mileage on [@] I see that it's way over estimating the length of my runs. Thats my big problem and the reason I'm going to return it (gotta love REI's return policy!). I was a little annoyed with the amount of time it took to link the GPS. I had usually walked a quarter mile before it linked. Too bad because I think its one of the nicer looking GPS watches.

1st run with this watch in the books! I'm a big fan! You definitely want to read the directions on how to set it up but they're easy to follow. I waited too long to buy a watch like this. Has the basics I think most runners need. Told me distance and how fast. I use to map my runs every time online so I'd know how far I'm running but with this I'm able to just walk out the door and go. It also helps with the motivation knowing how far you've ran and knowing you can keep going if you're feeling good.

Comments about New Balance GPS Runner Sport Watch:
This is an outstanding watch for the price. My wife didn't need a heart monitor or any of the extra stuff - just a watch that would tell her how far, how fast and how many calories. This one is perfect. She is a casual runner who is trying to make it more of a lifestyle and the watch has been very motivational for her so far.

Comments about New Balance GPS Runner Sport Watch:
I bought this after seeing someone bring it to the counter when I was buying something else. I was surprised at the low cost, which came in at at least $60 under what other makers were charging for watches with features I didn't really want. There weren't a lot of reviews online, but I thought I'd give it a try.
I've had it about 3 weeks and gone for about 7-8 runs with it so far. I think it's a great value if you want something that tells you how far you've run, your time, calories burned and other critical information. It's bare-bones, but in a good way. It's not for those who want to map out their runs or who need a lot of bells and whistles. You won't be able to use this to navigate yourself out of the wilderness, but you'll know how far you've gone (at least while the rechargeable battery lasts). I've been able to get at least 4 runs with about 40% charge remaining, but I admit I haven't actually tried to run a strict test, so you could probably get more depending on the length and time of your activity.
I will say that setting it up wasn't the most intuitive process ever, which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. It's not rocket science, but it does leave a little to be desired. I'm very happy with it so far and I'm very glad to have found it.
