My first helmet since an inexpensive Trek I had for maybe 10 years and I bought this one as a replacement - very glad I bought a new one. The quick adjust headband works much more smoothly and efficiently and feels like it will continue to work well - the old helmet's adjustment did not work very well for very long at all. The newer design also has a better felt like headband that helps stop sweat from dripping into my eyes and fits more securely and lower on my forehead. My old helmet design required me to use a separate headband and the helmet did not seems to fit as low and securely to my head and forehead even when properly adjusted. All around it seems like an improved helmet design over previous and older helmets.

I use this helmet for my road and mountain bike. Has a detachable visor for road biking. Has already saved my head when another biker crossed into my lane on the bike path. Her head struck the side of my helmet and I walked away with minor pain. Great helmet at a great price. I use it 1-2 times per week.

Bought it two months ago and it has been great. Even better I had a nasty fall where I was going about 20 mph when and needed to slow down when I hit my front brake too hard and went over the bar and and slid across the pavement banging my head. Other than cutting up arms and knees I was fine head wise. The helmet absorbed the fall with a little small crack. My friend was shocked that I was ok and my face untouched because he saw me face plant. I already the same exact one.

I bought this helmet for [$] at REI. i never used to ride with a helmet but some of the trails you need to wear them well thank heaven i got it and have been wearing it 6th time out i was hitting a tight turn kind of fast and hit a big root with the front wheel went over the handlebars landed on my head and cracked the helmet, luckily i had it on i just got a few cuts and bruises on my face and nose, and a sore neck but im going back to REI this weekend and buying another ONE great for the price.
