Comments about GEIGERRIG Rig 1200 Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
One of the best investment I have made for my hiking needs. Due to my facial paralysis I could not suck water from regular camelbak tube. I need to pump in the water to my mouth. GEIGERRIG Rig 1200 Hydration Pack is excellent for my needs. Only issue I came across is that the outlet tube connect gets disconnected due to pumping and physical movements during hiking. I have resolved adding a metal clip around the valve so that the valve clip does not get accidentally pushed in resulting disconnect. If, GEIGERRIG may wish to make design improvement, I will be happy to make recommendations.

Comments about GEIGERRIG Rig 1200 Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
This pack was highly recommended and I thought it would be great but was very disappointed. I typically do a lot of scrambling and peak bagging and I use an REI pack for that! I wanted this one for light trail hiking and thought if I liked it I would get the 1600 for longer hikes! The first time I used the pack the stiching came a part next to the zipper where the bladder goes in to the pack, poor workmanship. When the bladder is pumped up the water sloshes around like crazy and its very annoying. When pumped up the bladder pushes on my back and makes the pack feel very awkward and starts pushing into the storage comparty. Overall I think this back is a complete waste, I'll stick with my REI traverse with an osprey 100oz bladder. This bladder has tomany parts that could potentially go wrong and cause you to lose all your water, no need to have all those hoses and pumps for a little sprayer, just tighten any standard pack with a bladder in it down to your back and it will spray too!

I use the pack mainly for bicycling. It does exactly what they claim.

Comments about GEIGERRIG Rig 1200 Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I bought this pack a few weeks ago as a replacement pack for biking to and from work. I'm able to bring my laptop and a change of cloths in it when the bladder is full with no problems. I've probably used it 20 times now with no problems. The pressure the water comes out is also perfect for me.
The bladder does take up a little more room inside the pack because the back is solid and padded, which cuts down on some of the available space. But the trade off is that the back doesn't change shape as your drinking like some of my old packs. Personally, I think it's worth it.

Comments about GEIGERRIG Rig 1200 Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
When I say bulletproof, I mean this thing is bulletproof! Just took it out with me when some friends and myself went riding our quads on some backtrails around Anchorage. Despite being completely slathered in mud, and being ran over by a friend (accident of course) this thing still held up. And best of all, cleaning was a breeze. Bladder in the dishwasher, and pack in the washing machine. Boom. Done. Like it had never been used.
The bladder system on this thing is what sells it though. My friends were using all my water to spray off their goggles and GoPros. Lifesaver.
If I HAD to come up with something negative to say about this bag, I'd say that the hose/bladder system can be a little cumbersome. The bladder doesn't really seem to fit inside like a glove, and the hoses can kinda get out of control when detaching and reattaching them. BUT it does fit, and you get over the hose alignment.
All and all, I love this bag. Do yourself a favor and get one!

Comments about GEIGERRIG Rig 1200 Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I actually own the RIG 1600, but I feel the review is relevant.
The pack is extremely well fitting and comfortable to wear. I've been through a few packs and nothing fits or feels as good as this pack (RIG 1600). I don't believe the RIG 1200 will be much different..only slightly smaller. The pack fits right in the small of my back and doesn't spread out across my entire back either, which keeps me cooler. It has nice thick padding with a very stiff back to keep it upright and straight.
Hydration pack:
The hydration system is AWESOME! I can't believe how amazing this thing is! At first I wasn't overly excited about the pressurization..didn't think it would be useful or nice. I was wrong. Not having to suck water out of a tube when you're huffing and puffing from a good hike (or other exercise) was the most amazing thing. Just bite and let the water fill your mouth. It's much faster and easier to drink from (yes, drinking from a tube is hard).
The instructions give more of a suggested number of pumps for pressurization, but I found that you can pump more or less to get the desired pressure. I've found that lower pressure is better for drinking (otherwise it can feel like water is being forced down your throat). But if you need to spray something off, pump it up to higher pressure.
Note: The hydration pack has TWO compartments. One for water, the other (completely sealed) for air. I point this out because even if you are completely out of water, the pack will not decompress through the drinking tube. You must decompress using the pressurization valve.
Overall this pack is great and I don't think I'll buy another system.

Comments about GEIGERRIG Rig 1200 Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
Overall I love the pack and its design. Simple to adjust and keep loads stable. The Hydration Engine is truly a breakthrough in design. Cleaning and SANITIZING is a snap. The in line filter and tube allow for utilization of streams and lakes that otherwise might cause GI issues if you follow! REI you need to sell these "upgrades!"
My only negative about the item is the engine seems to need to be pumped much more than the manuals indicate. The stream is not very strong but definitely allows you to spray into a dogs mouth or onto a surface needing cleaning. I just feel the description and actual pressure of the spray don't really match. This is not a reason to pass on such a great product. Water filtration has been amazing and allows for a lighter load out on all my trips.

Comments about GEIGERRIG Rig 1200 Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I use my pack all the time. It's surprisingly light weight and I have plenty of storage space to carry all the stuff I end up needing (I usually get picked to carry the families stuff they don't want to carry around) But when ever the family goes on a day hike or camping the Geigerrig is a must have especially when we need to give the dog some water, just spray it into his mouth, really easy to share. I've cleaned off a couple scrapes the kids have gotten from getting a little ahead of themselves. Plus the kids have a blast using the geigerrig as a squirt gun on the trips, and I don't mind them running through all the water cause I make sure to take my filter everywhere and use it all the time. Needless to say after getting home and just putting the bladder in the dishwasher to easily clean it in priceless! I love it and recommend it to everyone.
