The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Eagle Creek Pack-It Specter Cube Setis rated4.5417out of5by24.
Rated5out of5byfoodeefromLight-weight and holds a lotI also own eBags and Eagle Creek (the classic ones) packing cubes. When I saw these, I thought they were small compared to my other packing cubes. However, they expanded substantially when I filled them up! I was able to pack 7 pairs of underwear in the 1/4 cube, 7 - 9 pairs of sport socks in the 1/2 cube and 9 t-shirts, a pair of yoga pants and a pair of shorts in the cube. (The pants and shorts were folded flat and placed on top of the rolled t-shirts.) I was surprised how much clothing this set set held! With the addition of 2 pairs of pants/jeans, shoes and toiletries, that is basically all I need for a week's travel! These 3 cubes fit well in a carry-on bag with room left over for the pants, shoes and toiletries. Since the cubes are so lightweight and take up almost no space, I recommend getting a spare cube. You can bring it with you on your trip and fill it with dirty laundry so you don't have to mix clean and dirty clothes in one cube.
I agree with the other reviewer that it's slightly more difficult to get to the items at the bottom of the cube since the zipper does not open around all three sides like the other Eagle Creek or eBags cubes. However, as the silnylon fabric is much lighter weight and softer than the eBags or Eagle Creek cubes, it would not be able to hold up its sides if the zipper opened on all 3 sides. The resultant trapezoid pouch without the zipper keeps all 3 sides up and gives the cube its shape. Once you have added a few items, the sides around the zipper can stay up better for easier loading of the rolled clothes. Unless you over-stuff the cube, I was able to reach my clothes in the trapezoid pouch area without disturbing my other clothes. Therefore, this "less than three sides zipper" issue is balanced out by the lighter weight fabric. I highly recommend this set! If you have dressier tops and pants, you can get one of the Eagle Creek folders. The Pack-it 18 folder is a perfect fit for a carry-on.

Rated5out of5bydcsimonfromGreat at keeping day trips organizedThis kit is great for keeping your day bag, overnight bag, or vacation bags organized. Easy to find what you're looking for and keeps the clutter down when packing. Great at keeping clean clothes away from the dirty ones when packed in the same bag too!

Rated5out of5byllilacs13fromWon't pack for a trip w/o them againI was so happy to have purchased these bags for a recent trip where I limited myself to a carry- on. I put nearly all of my clothes in the largest bag, my underwear/ socks/ swimsuits in the mid size, and some electronic cords etc. in the smallest and had room to spare in each.
This wasn't business travel and I didn't necessarily care if things got a little wrinkly, so I didn't mind them not zipping all the way around in the slightest. Also it just wasn't a big deal to take things out of the sac, find what I wanted, and put everything else back in there. If you organized items by each sac to being with, it's super easy to find what you need within them.
I didn't notice in the store that they also sell these with a compression feature - and I would probably have purchased those instead had I noticed. That said, these are SUPER lightweight, easy to clean, and fairly water resistant. They also were great when I had dirty, sweaty clothes w/o time to wash them at the end of my trip - I just put them all in 1 sac and nothing else in my bag got stinky or dirty. I don't know how I traveled without these before.

Rated4out of5byfernichurfromLight weight packing cubesI don't like these as much as the other types with the windows and rigidity, but it still does its job on organization. Slightly less ease of access, and the material seems cheap, but that also means it's extremely lightweight, which is the main purpose.

Rated1out of5byEchi13fromNot practical compared to other cubesI bought these as I liked the lightweight nylon feel and I was looking to replace some mesh cubes that I had literally worn out (rick steve's mesh cubes to be specific). Little did I know these little bags were about to make me feel like an idiot for purchasing them.
Long story short--Why I don't like these for packing clothing is as follows:
1) They do not zip all the way around, so you have to stuff these like a rucksack. Which might not SEEM like a big deal but as I discovered, this means that in order to get to the clothes you've packed, you've got to UNPACK everything to get to what's at the middle or the bottom. Completely annoying!
This doesn't happen with zip around packing cubes. you zip around to the side of the cube you are aiming for and pull out your item.
Since the point of purchasing these cubes is to keep everything organized, that fact that I had to pull everything out several times over a five day trip became maddening.
2) They are opaque. Yes, you say They are. Did I realize this was a big deal when I bought them? No. In fact I kind of liked them for that protection (I thought) it would offer clothes that mesh doesn't . So, it turns out after several days of traveling, this IS a big deal. When you can't see which sack the black tshirt is in (remember you've already repacked these once or twice by this point and you weren't as careful repacking because you were in a hurry), we return to problem #1--pulling everything out to look for said item.
And finally 3) I hadn't had these two seconds and the little tags snapped right off and without those it is hard to zip the little zippers. Which only added insult to injury.
I gave these a fair chance and I would call these a bad purchase. Yes, sure you could put accessories in these, but do you really want to spend 38 bucks on little nylon bags to hold accessories? You could. I guess. If you wanted. For packing clothes you want to keep organized and easily accessible these are NOT the packing cubes to purchase!

Rated1out of5byScooter DooderfromCould be double stitched or no seamWish these items have a better life span than three months. All three cases have broken in one situation or another. Zipper pulls snapped off one. Big and small case tore at the seam. If you want the Eagle Creek experience of good quality, stay away from the Specter line of products.
