This stove fits like a glove on the REI cookware small. Very stable. The mesh case weighs more than the stove WOW.

Comments about Esbit Titanium Folding Stove:

I used this stove with three other people and their stove on a four day hike in the Grand Canyon. This stove kept things hot while the others cooked or boiled water. It was great having hot coffee and water on demand while preparing other foods. I will take it on solo hikes with or with out another stove depending on the hike and the weather. All of us were surprised how well it worked. The tablets smelled like fish until they burned down a bit!

Comments about Esbit Titanium Folding Stove:

I love how quiet and simple this little stove is. It isn't for the folks who like to race each other boiling water. It is for those of us who have more than three minutes to sit and enjoy our surroundings in the backcountry. Want oatmeal and a coffee but hate waking people up with your screeching stove? This is for you! I have tested this stove twice now. Both times I used an HAE kettle with a full liter of cool (45 degrees or so) water. On a windy day at about 30 Deg it took the entire tablet to get a rolling boil, about 13 minutes. On a warm sunny day with 5mph winds it took about eight minutes for a rolling boil. No fuel canisters, no jet burner noise, and your pack gets lighter as you use fuel tabs. I cannot think of a more perfect way to enjoy a warm meal while hiking.

Comments about Esbit Titanium Folding Stove:

This is a very simple, well made stove designed for the minimalist. The stability is completely user controlled. As long as the pot supports are equally placed apart on stable ground and your favorite mug fits ok on top, you shouldn't have any issues. My Snowpeak Trek 700 is a perfect fit.

As with every other stove of this type, a windscreen is a must in all but perfect weather conditions. You aren't going to be able to cook a huge breakfast on it, either. If you are familiar with the limitations of this type of stove you should be very pleased.

Bottom line: If you like to travel light, then look no further. Anything less and you might as well just take the fuel tablets and make a pot rest out of natural materials.
