Keep it SimpleLess is more with the Esbit Titanium folding stove.
Why choose Esbit fuel over iso-butane canister stoves or denatured alcohol?
For my purposes, Esbit is light and safe. I can comfortably pack this stove, two or three cubes, fire kit and some kitchen essentials in my Snow Peak Trek 700.
Compact and light.
I don't have to worry about lugging around a big canister/stove and forgetting just how much fuel is left in there. I don't have to worry about denatured alcohol leaking in my pack. The Esbit cubes are individually packed and can be repacked if the entirety of it wasn't used. Esbit is not affected by temperature or altitude- obviously boil times will still be slower- but the tabs will still light with ease as long as there is a wind block. (which is this stoves only CON- easily remedied with some aluminum foil)
Esbit isn't lightening fast, but how many of us are on an adventure race when outdoors? Esbit is quiet. Saunter at sunset and enjoy a hot drink without a jet stove ruining the ambience.
The first time my friends saw me use mine, they were very attracted to it's minimalist design and versatility with a variety of boiling vessels. You won't be able to get too gourmet though. This is a stove for simple soups or dehydrated meals.
Pack less and see more.

great stove alone or with another stoveI used this stove with three other people and their stove on a four day hike in the Grand Canyon. This stove kept things hot while the others cooked or boiled water.It was great having hot coffee and water on demand while preparing other foods. I will take it on solo hikes with or with out another stove depending on the hike and the weather. All of us were surprised how well it worked. The tablets smelled like fish until they burned down a bit!

best stove for the price and for doubleThis stove fits like a glove on the REI cookware small. Very stable. The mesh case weighs more than the stove WOW.

Awesome lightweight stoveYou can't beat this stove for the price and for the weight. It is awesome if you are just looking to boil about 16 oz of water in the backcountry. I got it because my girlfriend wanted a hot meal while backpacking and I didn't want to carry the weight of a stove, fuel, and a pot. But this ultralightweight stove was perfect and the total weight is 1 oz (plus whatever pot you have). The only flaws I can see is the smell of the tablets and it leaves a slight residue on the bottom of the pot. I'm excited to bring it for our next adventure!
PS Put a piece of aluminium foil where the tablet goes so it doesn't leave any residue.

Does not workThis stove was useless. I brought it on a backpacking trip because of its light weight. The solid fuel was difficult to light. Once lit, it never got hot enough to boil the water. I was trying to boil about a cup of water and the water never got more than luke warm. Also, it is not stable. My pot slid right off. Its a good thing the pot was not hot because I was able to grab it. Luckily I was with others who offered to heat my water with their gas stoves. I returned it.
