Comments about NEMO Bugout Shelter:
I picked the Nemo Bugout shelter up before a car camping trip with my wife in Maine. While hesitant to drop the cash on this, I knew it had the potential to keep fellow travelers comfortable for years to come. Potential mind you.
Set up was a chore due to needing to find the right height for the ropes in the trees to lift the tarp the maximum height so that the bug netting would still touch the ground. The design is such that maximum headroom is at either "entrance" and then quickly tapers towards the middle. We positioned this over a picnic table and had to duck as we approached the table. I am 6' and my wife is 5'6".
The netting was effective and we were not bothered by bugs. The tarp itself is heavy duty with durable-looking grommets for rope attachements. The mechanism to hold the netting up when not in use is not perfect. Best done with two people, the netting must be rolled up and then fastened to the tarp using a loop and draw system. These attachments are not well placed and we ended up with significant "drooping," that needed to be ducked under when going under the tarp.
The Bugout Shelter performed its functions of keeping us dry and the bugs out. However, beyond that we were uncomfortable while under the shelter.
After the trip I returned the bugout shelter, not satisfied with my experience for the money. If Nemo improves their design so that there is more headroom and a better design for holding the bugnetting is the up position; I would try a future version.

Comments about NEMO Bugout Shelter:
We were very impressed with the design and quality of the Nemo Bugout. The way the tarp is angled and the height of the screen varied accordingly gives the ability to actually use the entire footprint without worrying about water being able to drain off. Set up is easy, assuming you have enough well-placed trees to work with. Black screen is great, kept the bugs out and still allows you to see out. Seems to be very well made. This will absolutely be a staple on all our BWCA trips.

Comments about NEMO Bugout Shelter:
I was looking for a convertible shelter/screen room with lots of flexibility and found it with this! As with the minimalist shelters, it can be strung up many different ways to provide wind or sun protection, but the screen sides add that extra protection or even a bit of privacy that's nice to have sometimes. With the different stake loops on the screens, you can secure it tight at many heights. Staking down the screens also helps keep it from flapping too much in heavy winds.
The screens zip at the ends, and tie up in loops in three places on each side. The screens don't have to be all down or all up once.
The only (minor) complaint is that the screens don't secure up as tight and tidy as the advertising photos show, but they're not bad.
