I am an avid ultra-marathon runner. I have tried ultra minimal and heavy cushioned. I even hike barefoot in the summers. As far as a shoe that can handle technical terrain as wal as single track, you will not find better.
I just took these out on my 30 mile mixed run which entails single track, road, and scrambling over rocks. The cushioning was just right where I had a feel for the trail but not so minimal that rocks drove through the sole. Plus the toe box is wide enough that I did not get any blisters!
Great shoe, lets hope they keep it on the market.

I already own and love Saucony's road running shoes. Have had them for almost four years. Needed to get something with good traction for trail running. After trying some of the newer minimalist designs and not liking it too much, I reverted back to these. After my first few minutes of my first run in them, I knew these were keepers.
