Merrill makes great shoes, but all the zigzag stitching on this one detracted from what is otherwise a nice style. Might look little better in black, but I'm returning my taupe pair.

I ordered these because I was looking for some comfortable summer shoes that were stylish but would also be good for lots of walking when I travel. While the weather is only now getting warm enough to wear them, I think they are exactly what I wanted. They look good with either pants or skirts. You can wear light weight socks or go sockless. They have very good arch support, which is what I want in a shoe, and a good springy heel support as well. I got the "kangaroo" color, which is actually a nice taupe. I'm extremely pleased with them.

I finally tried Merrell shoes last year when I bought a pair of hiking shoes and then a pair of barefoot running shoes. The comfort I experienced in those pairs made me want these shoes. I wanted something I could wear with skirts and jeans that were more stylish than tennis shoes but more comfortable than dressier shoes. These are perfect! They look great and I can wear them all day because they are so comfortable. The vibram soles are great for slick surfaces and add bounce and cushion. I am definitely going to get a second pair.
