Comments about Carve Breakers Board Shorts - Women's:

I bought these shorts to wear with the matching takini top or bikini top on days when I just want a little more coverage around the water. I haven't had a chance to wear these shorts in the water yet, so cannot comment on how they feel wet or how fast they dry. Hopefully this review will help with sizing. These shorts have a nice length with a 5 inch inseam that isn't too short or too long. They are also very comfortable around the thigh, which is great for those of us gals with bigger thighs. They have a snap closure, so no velcro to snag on your swim suit. The one thing I wish they had was an internal drawstring. I've tried on a lot of board shorts, and these would be almost perfect if they had a way to cinch up the waist. I'm 5'5" and 125/130 lbs with a smaller waist than my backside. It seems these aren't cut for a curvier woman with a smaller waist than her hips. I had to get a size 6 to be comfortable in the butt, but the waist is a bit too big, causing the front to sag and the fly to gap more than I like. I'll keep the shorts and figure out a way to alter the waist or add a drawstring because these are the best fit I've found in length and in the thigh. Hope this review helps with fit.
