      Comments about Brooks Cascadia 7 Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:

I like doing short afternoon hikes - 3 to 7 miles, maybe 1000 feet of gain on grave and dirt trails. I have used my medium duty boots, running shoes, and light hiking shoes. These provide all the comfort of the running shoes and most of the benefits of trail shoes. The traction is great - surprisingly good even on hardpack trails with gravel. They are pretty grippy on rock too. The lace arrangement is unique but feels great. Im a big guy 6'2" and 250 lbs so durability is where good shoes are differentiated from the great. Build and materials look good, so lets hope for the best. These are REALLY ORANGE, so unless you are an Oregon State fan, make sure you like them because they arent understated.

      Comments about Brooks Cascadia 7 Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:

Just purchased these a couple of months ago. They are awesome! I usually gauge shoes on the first run and if I need to slowly break them in or feel inspired to run further. I ran further the first time! Great comfort no pain after the first time wearing them. My only complaint was running in the rain, I came out of the trail and hit a manhole cover and slipped stepping on it so, be careful. Other than that, buy these shoes and feel the comfort I did and still do today. Cheers!

          Comments about Brooks Cascadia 7 Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:

Out of the box, onto the feet, these bad boys deliver right away. Took 'em out for a 9 mile jaunt, 1000 ft up and down again some serious rocky/technical trail and they just keep asking for more. The toe box feels nice and roomy on my feet, while the shoe grips my heel well enough - didn't feel my feet slide forward or toes touching on the downhill at all. Solid protection over sharp rocks, cushioning that gives my feet the impression they're on vacation and enough stability all add up to a very smooth ride. I got these for a bit more cushioning with the goal of ultimately completing my first 50 miler and I'm confident they will help get the job done! In my humble opinion whether you're a beginner or an experienced trail runner, these shoes appear versatile and equipped to take you a long way. I typically wear a US 10.5 running sneaker but settled on a US 11 since they felt a tad short/tight with my thicker running socks. Happy trails!

            Comments about Brooks Cascadia 7 Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:

I have battled with Plantar Fasciitis for several months. Someone suggested I look into Trail Running Shoes from Brooks. I went to the Brooks website and entered the information requested in regard to my feet. Brooks suggested I try the Cascadia 7. I am so glad I did. The Cascadia 7 proved to be a very comfortable shoe and eliminated my Plantar Fasciitis issues.

              Comments about Brooks Cascadia 7 Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:

At first I was hesitant to purchase the Cascadia 7, even in the grey red colorway it was a little too bright for me, but I did it and I am not regretting. These are excellent shoes for walking or weekend hikes (and the dust from hiking will dull the red.) They are best in summer as the shoes are so breathable I can literally feel air flowing through as I walk. Also the lacing system creates the best fit of any shoe I have ever had. I want to buy another pair just to keep as back up.

                Comments about Brooks Cascadia 7 Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:

The Brooks Cascadia are a dream! I have had these for a month now and they have been tested on many different surfaces...rocky, sandy, flat, muddy, slippery. They have laughed at each surface while giving my feet a gentle rub and assuring them that everything is okay. I am done with hiking shoes and my new 3 season adventures will be showcased with the Brooks Cascadia. My only worry is the durability of the shoe...I hope to get at least 6 months of abuse out of them. Also had them in the water and they drained and dried rather quickly.

                  Comments about Brooks Cascadia 7 Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:

I got the Cascadias in return for the Pure Grit minimalists by brooks. The pure grits felt good in the store but on the trails they hurt my feet and felt unbalanced. So far I have logged about 20 miles on trails with these shoes and I have nothing bad to say about them. The traction is great even when climbing steep sandy hills, the sole of the shoe is thick enough to protect my feet from rocks on the trail but soft enough to allow me to feel the trail. Also, the ergonomic side lacing system helps for a secure fit and prevents the tongue from sliding around. Overall I love the way they look and I believe the Cascadias are the best trail running shoes I have ever bought. I intend to stay loyal to the Cascadia line by Brooks.

                    Comments about Brooks Cascadia 7 Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:

I absolutely love these shoes. The asymmetric laces make the shoe a secure fit with no hot spots on the top of my foot. I supinate and have IT band problems so a more neutral running shoe was recommended. No pain, no hotspots, great cushion. My only gripe is that they don't have great downhill traction on rocky surfaces. On dirt single track I felt stable, fast, and unstoppable! Love these shoe!

                    Comments about Brooks Cascadia 7 Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:

I've owned 2 pairs of Cascadia 4s and 5s, one pair of 6s and now the Cascadia 7. While the designers at Brooks changed the outsole's knobs to a more pronounced, durable shape with the 7 (the 6's were round disks that wore quickly), they blew it with the design of the upper. In their quest to become more stylish/trendy, they opted for a curved/asymmetrical tongue and lacing. This makes it difficult to get one's laces even as the holes' pattern is curved. This curved shape also makes one's feet appear pigeon-toed. Those are two things that bug the heck out of me. I wish they'd left a great shoe as it was and just switch colors like they used to. I also don't feel the shoe is as supportive as it used to be since the upper's saddle is higher on one side than the other. I'm going to be looking for another model or brand of shoe now. The older Cascadias would get 5 stars, the 7 gets only 2.
