I've been looking for minimalist shoes that I can wear with skirts, dresses, and cropped pants that don't look too casual. I went "barefoot" last year, which I'm loving, but I'm still female, and I would like to wear cute shoes! I had to go up a 1/2 size, but I was in heaven in a pair of black. I loved them so much that I tracked down a pair of denim the very next day. As a teacher on her feet all day, these are perfect...they do fit like a "glove," but a bit more attractively than the Five Fingers style. I'm not fond of the the color selection - I think there needs to be a navy, brown, and maybe even red...on the Merrell website, they offer, in addition to the colors here, white, yellow, and hot pink. Not as attractive to me.

I purchased these shoes 4 weeks ago. Needed time to wear them before an upcoming trip. As soon as I slipped them on, my feet were in love. I purchased a half size bigger based on other reviews. I usually wear a 7W.Sadly, I am now returning these shoes. The stitching starting unraveling and the snap that holds the strap on popped off.. I contemplated taking them to a shoe repair shop but the shoes are 4 weeks old and cost[$]. I really expected more.

The look and fit are great, but I haven't gotten used to the "barefoot" style, especially since I've been wearing Danskos extensively for the past couple of years and I am really used to a strong arch support. I am a teacher and need to stand for extensive periods of time, so the Danskos are the only thing that works for that, but the Merrells work for casual time -- they just take some getting used to.

I really loved these shoes and used them mostly in the office for the past month. Today I decided to take them out and went on a walk. Looks like the size just wasn't right, my toes feel blistered and when I got home one of the straps broke. Too bad they were really cute.

I wear a size 7W but read on another website these ran a bit short so I purchased a 7.5... Right out of the box I love them. They fit comfortably, my heel does not slip, and the toe box is roomy.
