These have been a good trail shoe. Didn't have to break them in - went on a ten mile hilly run straight off with them. They have done fine on traction except on some mossy slick areas they were slipping some. Impressed because they are between a minimalist shoe and a regular stability (kind of a half way type) and haven't had issues that I had when I tried the minimalist version. Not sure how durable they will be, but I am sure I will be able to get 400 miles on them with them holding up.

I ordered the shoes which were brand new because of the trail aspect and the lightweight quality for our trip to Greece and Turkey and the difficult terrain around ruins. Being a senior citizen, I wanted to ensure safe walking in rocky, steep, gravelly areas. Those qualities were good.
However, the first day I wore them I discovered that when worn on smooth surfaces (pavement, tile or wood floors, sidewalks, and in museums, the squeaks and squawks and creaks drew much attention (mostly negative.)

I got these shoes when my last pair started hurting my feet, and had no problem transitioning over to them despite their minimalism. They feel fast and light, and remind me to run with good form.

A drawback of their lightness is that the traction isn't too amazing--which hasn't been too much of a problem in mud, but they don't do super well on slippery rocks. I think they'd also wear out really fast if you were using them on pavement (but don't, since they should really be a trail shoe).

I would definitely buy them again. Despite the fact that I worry they won't last as long as my last shoes, the comfort, agility, and way they make me feel so super fast more than makes up for it.
