The Hydroshock Mary Jane water shoes from The North Face are well-suited for amphibian adventures.
- Water-friendly synthetic suede leather uppers with quick-drying, breathable polyester stretch-mesh provide ample protection and support
- Mary Jane style supplies rip-and-stick straps across instep for a secure fit
- EVA footbeds and midsoles add cushioning, support underfoot and shock absorption
- Hydroshock water shoes have lightweight, injection-molded EVA protective cages with drainage holes

The shoes are bulkier looking on the foot than expected and half a size bigger than my usual no socks shoe size. I would have still kept it since you want a slightly looser shoe for hiking but the side of the shoe was pushing on my lateral malleolus and it was hurting me just walking around in the store. May work for some people probably.

This is a great water shoe. I've been using Merrells,but these are much lighter and have a more secure fit. They seem durable, but time will tell. The only downside is the velcro strap on one shoe occasionally lets go. However, I like them well enough to buy a pair ahead for when these wear out.

I've been wanting to try more minimalist shoes as I usually wear pretty heavy duty running shoes with inserts for walking and casual wear except work. These are great. Very comfortable and I can walk quite a lot in them. Still not sure about longer trail walking on asphalt with them. I wasn't sure I would like the wider toe but it works. The velcro closing helps as I have narrow ankles.
