Marin Redwood Step-Through women's bike offers a plush, comfort-oriented ride for getting around town, exploring bike paths or heading out for some fun in the sun.

Cushy suspension fork and suspension seatpost soften the bumps along the way
Shaped aluminum frame features anti-flex seatstays and chainstays to maximize efficiency
Step-through design makes it easy to mount and dismount the bike, as well as comfortably stand over the bike
Upright ride reduces pressure in your hands, wrists and shoulders and accommodates a broad field of view
Shimano trigger shifters and derailleurs provide intuitive, responsive shifting
Triple chainring and rear 8-speed cassette provide 24 gear combinations to take you up and down any terrain that comes along
Wide 26 in. tires enhance stability at slow speeds and are appropriate for both paved surfaces and light off-road riding
Marin Comfort saddle provides cushion and support for long rides; angle-adjustable stem lets you fine-tune your fit for maximum comfort

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. This is a fabulous bike. If it had a more comfortable seat I would have given it five stars. I would think that for the cost and the fact that it's categorized as a comfort bike, that the seat would actually be comfortable but it is hard and made my behind sore. I had to replace it right away.
