          This is an awesome product. I bought it in the store after an REI rep overheard me debating which one to get. It has a clear pocket which fits a map, cell phone with gps, etc. This bag is very very roomy. It holds my smart phone, keys, mini air pump, a tire lever, hair clips, important cards, money, etc. It fits easily on my hybrid bike. If you are looking for something with a lot of room, but are not looking to pack your wardrobe or a computer then this bag is for you.

            Perfect bag for longer trips or trips where you need to carry more than the usual spare tube & power bar. Goes off & on the bike easily and has large capacity for its streamlined shape. My friend just went on a cross country trip and it was her "purse" but I use mine for a sandwich and place to store extra clothes when I'm riding all day.

            Of course it adds weight to the bike, so i don't use it for short rides.

            Yes, it is true that the predecessor of this bag has the zippers opening on the wrong end and is floppy, such that unless you hold the bag while opening things can fall out.

            REI had the chance to improve that situation, and although they did get the zipper placement correct, and the board stiffener on the new bag is an improvement, the following negative points exist with this bag:

            1) Smaller size: This bag is smaller than it's predecessor. Although it still appears to fit DVDs, it does not fit a lot of the library books that I need to retun soon.

            2) Yucky color. This bag is grey. It is not black like the old bag which would look better on my bike.

            How could REI miss on these important points?
