    So, I really didn't want to be that guy who got a skate helmet and took the bike paths. The thing is, I really wanted a durable commuting helmet and as I'm riding on the trails more, I wanted something that offered more substantial coverage around my ears and lower down on the base of my skull. The bern was surprisingly low-profile, light and comfortable. The fit is bigger than the hat size indicates, but generally the fit is adjustable enough to make it work. I've always been a venty, fast helmet looking guy, but the bern totally works for dork and trail rides.
