Comments about Trico Sports Double-Wide Cycling Inner Briefs - Unisex - 2009 Closeout:
One of the worst products I've ever gotten at REI; I'm surprised such a classy retailer carries such a spectacularly lousy item. The double-wide pad is actually a good idea, IF it were close to fitting. I think an S one of these shorts might fit an XL behind, but there would still be lots of sag and a big bulge behind you as you walk. Oddly, as large as the rear pad is, the front part of the pad is virtually non-existent -- it doesn't extend down the legs at all, but terminates right in your crotch, where you feel every bit of chafing that a padded short SHOULD be designed to prevent -- I see that this website asks for images of my review; you can imagine how grotesque that could get. I also see that it won't let me give this hideous thing 0 stars. Too bad -- this product is TERRIBLE!

Firstly, the sizing chart was way wrong. I got a large but I should have gotten a small. If I put these on, they would have just fallen to the ground. Also, the double wide padding is HUGE. I would say the seat of it is at least 10" wide on the large which I can't imagine anyone needs. Do they even make seats that wide?
The shorts were made out of a light mesh but the padding was very heavy so no matter what size or fit, I think your bottom will look saggy.
I liked the idea of these undershorts so that I can make any of my work out shorts comfortable to ride in but this was just not right.
