Comments about Baffin Approach Soft-Shell Trail Shoes - Women's - 2010 Closeout:
I am returning these shoes. After the hike, my calves hurt really bad. When tied the shoe, I felt unsupported. The shoe also felt heavy therefore I was forced to move calf muscles a lot. Overall, not a good fit for me:-(

Comments about Baffin Approach Soft-Shell Trail Shoes - Women's - 2010 Closeout:
I use these shoes for trail hikes and for after snow shoeing. They are also great to wear when shoveling snow. This is my second pair of Baffin's so I sense that they are a consistently good shoe and I will be ordering more.

Comments about Baffin Approach Soft-Shell Trail Shoes - Women's - 2010 Closeout:
This is a great shoe but it runs a full size too small especially when you're wearing a thicker sock. I have to return these because I wear an 11 and they don't make a 12.

Comments about Baffin Approach Soft-Shell Trail Shoes - Women's - 2010 Closeout:
I ordered this shoe due to looks - I liked the all-black and sleek exterior (not your typical rugged hiking shoe). I would have used them as my casual winter shoes - they are waterproof; perfect for rainy California winters.
Unfortunately, the shoe is full size too small. I typically wear 8.5 in athletic shoes; ordered these in 9 (as they apparently do not come in half-sizes), but my big toe hits the front of the shoe even in thin socks.
Another thing is that the heel does not feel secure, as if the lacing does not come high enough to make the shoe fit tight around the ankle. It also appears to be lower to the ground than pictured.
The weird thing is that the shoe I got only has 4 loops for the laces, while the picture shows 5 (??). That could explain why the shoe is indeed so loose around the top/feels too low to the ground. Could it be missing a loop? :-)
In summary, it's too bad that Baffin Approach has these issues. It's attractive, but have design flaws. I will be returning these.
