    Designed for downhill and freeriding, these crankbrothers 5050 2 platform pedals feature dual-material construction and fully customizable traction.

    • Pedal bodies are made of aluminum and polycarbonate and offer a wide platform for extra stability underfoot
    • Each of the twenty 10mm traction pins (per pedal) are adjustable for a fully customizable amount of traction
    • Forged chromoly steel spindle offers stout strength; outer cartridge bearing and inner bushing ensure smooth spinning
    • Note: polycarbonate is incompatible with anaerobic liquids; do NOT use non-polycarbonate approved thread locking solvent on any part of this pedal as cracking could occur
    • Loctite 380 or 401 (not included) is approved for use on all bolts and pins on these crankbrothers 5050 2 pedals

        In response to the post above.... It has a 5 year warranty and can be rebuilt. Just sayin. I really like the pedal and no longer use clipless on my mountain bikes because of the ability to rapidly reposition or bail.

        After four months of street use, the platform section has loosened, creating a knocking sound as it wobbles against the spindle. I took it a apart and there's no way to get inside and tighten things up. If you want an unserviceable pedal for much less, just get any of the dozens of plastic BMX pedals available.

          Time will tell how long the bearings last.
