Vasque Aether Tech Boa trail-running shoes allow you to hit the trails as fast as can be, thanks to the quick lacing system and great fit.
- Highly breathable mesh nylon uppers feature synthetic nubuck and welded thermoplastic urethane (TPU) overlays for structure and pronation stability
- Boa Closure System® uses a continuous cable lacing system to eliminate pressure points and offer a glovelike fit
- With a simple crank of the tongue-mounted knob, you can quickly and evenly lace and unlace; system will not loosen and never needs retying
- Nylon linings wick moisture away from your feet and dry quickly to keep feet comfortable
- Removable dual-density EVA footbeds offer cushioning

These shoes are unique with an unconventional lacing system. After a few uses I found that I preferred it to other lacing systems. It equalizes the lacing and the shoe conforms perfectly to your foot.
With that said, I would not purchase these shoes again. After less than two months of gentle wear, a section of the tread in the middle of the sole had ripped off.
Because I had not seen this type of structural failure in a shoe, I returned it to the store. Originally I intended on replacing them, but after a discussion about the BOA lacing system I chose to purchase a different model of shoes. Apparently Vasque dropped its contract with BOA because the lacing system had so many flaws. Unlike me, most people returned their shoes because of the lacing system failed.
Personally, I liked the funny looking shoes, but I can't afford to buy new shoes every three months.
