I tried the new Joker Plus Ladies but they are just not the same as the old women's Sol's, the padding along the collar goes way to high on my ankle and the heel is really gappy, I'm really bummed as I loved the Sol's and I just blew out the toe on them and the new ones aren't the same. Please REI bring back the Sol's!

I've found these shoes to be extremely uncomfortable. These are my third pair of climbing shoes (I've been climbing for just over 2 years, largely indoors), and I have a difficult foot to fit: narrow, low volume, long toes. I was glad to find a velcro shoe that seemed to accommodate, but I agree with the other reviewer that the heel does gap quite a bit. They're also distractingly painful on the big toe of my longer foot on rope routes (less painful bouldering as I wear them for shorter periods of time). I'm going back to my tried and true La Sportiva Mythos, or may try Scarpa Technos.

I love these shoes. I climb every other day, and the heels on these make climbing so often a joy. I have really smelly sweaty feet, and these shoes are holding up! no smell as of yet. I feel like its the macho thing to be really uncomfortable in your shoes. These are awesome. Comfortable, and they get me to wear I am going I climb 5.10's and feel that these are an amazing option. The velcro is placed right, so you can give yourself a really tigh feel, or loosen up to belay. Good luck hunting!

I saw these in SF REI and thought they would be great on multi-pitches and bouldering. I had worn them in several gyms and these were not sticking and hard to edge. I finally got to put them on real rock at Hueco Tanks. I was on a very easy V1 and I could not feel the rock, especially the small pinch where I have put my foot in the past with other brand-named shoes. Of course I fell, my spotters did not have anything positive about Boreals rubber. I will return them, and stick to La Sportivas and Scarpas.
