I bought the shoes and I thought they were going to be great. Went out for a run and my feet went numb. I changed the sock type and the same thing happened.

REI was great they exchanged them for a larger size, but once again when I went out for a trail run. My feet felt like they were on fire and my toes were numb. I took the shoes off and my feet were still sore.

I've been a Salomon owner for years, have had at least 5 different pairs. This is the first trail running pair that have been no good. They were actually utterly dissappointing. I trail run, rocky terrain and such and I am a 9.5 and I have narrow feet.
After the first run a had a bad blister on the arch/bottom of my foot and my feet hurt! I thought I'd try again since they were brand new, and same thing, ...ok run #3 on a paved path, still very uncomfortable. So I returned them.
All my past pairs have been just fine on first run.

I have wide feet, the shoes feel a little too wide. You need nice comfortable hiking socks for these shoes.

I have worn these on short day hikes. The traction is great. I crossed streams on rocks and felt the grip, even when wet. Decided to try them for running today. No problems on dirt trails, but on hard surface I felt they needed more cushioning. No problem walking on hard surfaces. They are great for day hikes and trail runs, just avoid the hard surface! Love the lacing system.
