Brooks Ghost GTX trail-running shoes offer the renowned waterproof protection of Gore-Tex® in a neutral, trail-running platform that handles pavement as well as trails.

Lightweight and flexible polyester and nylon mesh uppers are abrasion resistant and breathable, and dry quickly; synthetic leather overlays provide structure and support
Gore-Tex® waterproof liners let feet breathe while protecting them from the elements, keeping them dry and comfortable
Polyester and nylon air-mesh linings provide great moisture management to keep feet comfortable on the run
A special EVA compound is used for the insole boards to supply excellent cushioning and flexibility, resulting in great comfort right out of the box

I just wore these on a 3-hr run through the Tetons in snow, rain, and mud. My toes stayed warm and dry the entire time while my boyfriend's poor toes got soaked and froze in his regular trail runners. Seriously, when I got home and took them off, my wool socks were perfectly dry, save a little moisture from sweating. Tomorrow, we're throwing on gators and going at it again; these shoes rocked my world!

Comments about Brooks Ghost GTX Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:

I LOVE my Brooks Cascadias so much so I wanted the "winter" water resistent version and bought the Ghost. They are NOT the same. Ghost are hard/rigid and hurt my feet. I realize they are designed to use on pavement, thus harder, but they are uncomfortable hard. I wore my Cascadia's on the PCT last summer and they did fab, I would not attempt that with the Ghost. The Ghost are lightweight but have not held up as well as I would expect the Brooks brand to do. They are not waterproof either.
