I bought this boat after going out in a borrowed Pungo just once. It was the perfect beginner boat. It's incredibly stable, and the seat is so comfy, like a nice camp chair. I have used it in calm flat water, sound swells, and going down river on Class 1 & 2. I have also paddled around with my niece sitting forward of me. I have no regrets about this boat.

The only cons are: that it is too heavy for me to lift on to my car by myself; when there is heavy winds the boat tends to catch them like a sail; and it is a slow paddle.

This boat was the best ride I could have gotten until I simply out grew it, becoming skilled enough that I was ready to stretch up into skinnier lighter tippyer boats.
