Comments about High Sierra Lightning 30 Pack - Special Buy:

Grabbed this one while it was on sale. I was attracted by its features, mainly rain cover and compartments/straps combinations. When I got it, I immediately noticed quality built & materials. I'm not a big fan of lighter colored packs, but it was a very nice looking one. Mesh ventilation looks really promising.
Handle in the middle of the pack is a nice touch for handling the pack as luggage, however, they advertise using rain cover as a way to protect the pack when checking it in for flights. Cover goes over the handle and renders it unusable.
The thing that caused me to return this pack is that it is built for really skinny people. Waistbelt flaps are really small. Booklet that's attached to the pack says it's for slim torso individuals. While I could certainly wear it, I don't know how much comfort it would provide.

Service and delivery comments:

The pack was delivered very promptly. Too promptly, considering they've shipped it from Seattle. In fact, I wanted to cancel the order after a few hours and was unable to do so, because customer service rep told me it was already on the truck and out of the door. Also, the box came open, as in "never taped shut"! That's just crazy!
