Comments about Gerber Contrast Knife:
The blade opens easily with a flick of the thumb (not quite as smooth as my Benchmade, but close), the blade is sharp, and locking mechanism solid. Unlocking the blade is a little different than other folders I've used, but it is safer. You have to make an effort to press the release, making it almost impossible for it to close by mistake during use. Overall, a solid knife at a good price.

Comments about Gerber Contrast Knife:
I got this knife because it was a Gerber and it was on sale. Mistake. The knife doesn't open easily at all, and when you do get it open it doesn't lock most of the time. It's actually pretty dangerous. I'm returning this one and getting a Kershaw.
