Comments about Mountain Hardwear Cordoba Hooded Jacket - Men's:
I was looking for a casual jacket that was warm, had nice features from my technical wear like protected sleeves (sealed wrists), headphone routing, and a hood.
But, I spend so much time wearing my technical gear, I don't want to don technical gear when I'm hanging out. I think it looks tacky but I love the function of it.
This jacket hits the jackpot on looking great, but being functional where I need it on a casual jacket.
Also, I'm an oddly shaped guy who needs athletic cut to accomodate my chest/shoulders and, yet, not be swimming in extra fabric at the waist area or have to buy something that assumes I'm 6ft 10in (I'm not :). This jacket is very well cut for my build, which I really appreciate about it. They call it semi-fitted, and the regular length fits me really well.
The sleeves are perfect. There is a bit of constriction when I reach out, but, seriously, I am very atypically built and even then, it's not much.
Pockets are great, fabric seems quite durable. Great casual look.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Cordoba Hooded Jacket - Men's:
really wanted to like this and there's a lot to like. on sale, decent price for a very comfortable jacket. cozy, soft liner, quiet (ie. not crunchy) exterior, good pockets, really like the comfy inner sleeve that seals out the cold.
unfortunately, a medium fits well chest width-wise (i'm a 39" chest), the sleeves are 1-2" too short. medium is what my mountain hardwear windblock fleece and rain jackets are and fit fine. go figure. oh well.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Cordoba Hooded Jacket - Men's:
The cut of the sleeves is such that whenever I reach in any direction there is a band of constriction across the midpoint of my upper arm. My build is average; so, the blame rests solely on the jacket, not big guns...and from a favorite brand name. Shame.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Cordoba Hooded Jacket - Men's:
I am 6'2" and have an athletic build. I wear a large in most jackets and shirts, but XL if they are trim / slim fit. I tried the large for this jacket and it was tight with just a t-shirt underneath. The sleeves were too short, which was a no-sale for me. I'm a 34/35 sleeve length, btw. So I tried the XL and the length was better, but the chest was way too big. An obvious design flaw and probably why it's on clearance.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Cordoba Hooded Jacket - Men's:
I still like it.
1. Needs a hidden area for pens, perhaps on the left-inside breast area.
2. The diagonal inside-right breast pocket is brilliant
3. the "stretchy" black (within a sleeve) sleeve does not allow one to wear a watch, feels restricting and uncomfortable but I like it. It keeps water and cold out.
4. Though I tend to almost wear medium, I purchased a large size which fit most comfortable without feeling or looking large. A back-to-the-drawing-board might be needed on the sizes. I tried a medium and it was too snug and uncomfortable.
5. The snap-ons for the front pockets are great - zippers for breast pockets are difficult to open and close. I don't like velcro.
6. Mainly for cool, brisk and breezy weather but not for cold or very cold weather. Not sure about rainy weather.

True this is for the more stocky shapped folk but many outdoor enthusiasts are athletic and have this build of shorter thicker proportions so I am happy that some clothing is made to fit as most outdoor clothings is oriented to the lanky rock climber types.
Perfect casual super comfortable every day jacket. Technical with out beeing too techy.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Cordoba Hooded Jacket - Men's:
Your better off just being a carhartt barn jacket... the hand pockets are zippered, but the zipper design/placement cuts into your wrists when you're reaching for something or just plain cold...awkward. The biggest complaint is the main zipper and cut of the fabric. The collar tends to fold inward and stab you in the neck when zipped all the way up, or when left open. Very annoying and uncomfortable. Could be a great jacket if these nuisances are taken care of...

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Cordoba Hooded Jacket - Men's:
Based on the other customer comment, I thought that this jacket had a similar fit to other Mountain Hardware products.
This is not the case.
I am about 6ft to 6ft 1in, and have very broad shoulders. The XXL Mountain Hardware zip up fleeces and hard shell rain jackets have a great athletic fit for my shoulders with comfortable length in the torso and arms (nothing excessive).
The fit of this jacket is not for wide shoulders/ athletic builds, but is tailored for a larger rounded body (barrel chested and beer belly). The sleeve length and jacket length are okay, but an extra inch or so would of been nice.
This jacket is sharp and appears well made. I am sure the smaller jacket sizes are an athletic fit for someone 5'11" and below.
I will be returning it.
