Comments about OnGuard Bulldog DT U-Lock with Cable:
This lock is very difficult to lock. You have to get it aligned perfectly, press on it, jiggle the key, etc. to get it to lock. I won't by this brand again, but will return to Kryptonite locks which are of much higher quality.

Comments about OnGuard Bulldog DT U-Lock with Cable:
The mounting system for this lock works great, I've continued to transfer it to different locks. After three weeks, the lock would not accept a key (even the un-used spare). I was easily able to hammer the key in and break the lock off.....

Comments about OnGuard Bulldog DT U-Lock with Cable:
I bought this lock to secure my bike at school, where thefts happen all the time. Anyone looking at this lock/cable combo would likely look the other way unless left overnight or in a secluded place where they can work on breaking the lock. I like the lock and the key system well, but that is all defeated by the terrible mounting bracket. Not only will it not fit around my oversized downtube or get enough purchase on my rear tubes, the mounting bracket snapped on my first ride. I have read that most of these u-lock brackets are under-built for the weight they are supporting, but this mounting bracket is pitiful. Its almost entirely plastic design is held to the bike with metal bolts and nuts, but the adjustable angle for the bracket is held together with a screw into the plastic. Seriously? Nearly five pounds of lock and cable held onto a mountain bike with a 1/8 inch screw that bites into plastic? The lock went bouncing across the pavement with half of the mounting bracket attached to it on my very first ride with it. Fishing it out of the street between cars was not fun, and just imagine if this lock smacked a passing car. Bad day. Onguard's customer service was less than stellar as well, stating repeatedly and defiantly that the mount I had was the "new" bracket. Ok I thought, but that doesnt mean that it isn't a "new" piece of junk. After much prodding about a different bracket, he said that he would send me a different style, but at that point, i was fed up. I didn't feel like waiting for a new bracket that may or may not work. Returned it for a Kryptonite, which i had owned many moons ago and liked. MUCH better mounting bracket, and i can put it on my bike wherever i want.

Comments about OnGuard Bulldog DT U-Lock with Cable:
I have this lock without the cable, not sure they sell it alone anymore. The lock works great, easy to lock and I feel much safer with the double dead bolt system. This is by no means light, but would you really feel safe with a light u-lock. I use it to lock up my scooter as it is worth more than my bike. Never had a problem locking or unlocking and they keys work great plus you get plenty of them.
