It says "universal" and works with bikes with disc brakes, but you actually need an extra piece of hardware (not included with rack) to install on a bike with disc brakes. That additional hardware does not appear to be available either on REI's website or the manufacturer's. Marketing / customer service fail.
It looks like it will be sturdy and useful, if I ever manage to get it installed....

Easy installation, all hardware lines up and is semi adjustable to bike sizes. Priced right and very similar to pricier models. Additional benefit that is acts like a rear fender preventing tail spray on your back!

I do some mountain biking and the rack kind of works as a rear fender. Just don't forget to have a couple of bungee cords at hand when you are riding. You might find something interesting to bring home.
