Comments about Knog Boomer USB Rechargeable Rear Bike Light:
I just checked out the review for this product and noticed someone else had almost exactly the same experience as me. Let me tell you about it.
I really wanted this product to work, but it discharges so amazingly quickly compared to its front cousin that I thought the first one I owned was defective and had it replaced. The battery was OK for about four months of regular use in the second one, but now it lasts about an hour, and even discharges quickly while off, never warning me of low battery. Insult to injury, it takes hours to charge. I have had several times where I'm out in the dark and it refuses to turn on even when I charged it to full a couple days earlier and left it attached to my bike (no accidental turn ons in my pocket). Speaking of—its on button is sensitive to a feather's touch and will turn on if you bump it even lightly. This is a problem if you need to stash it in a bag or in a pocket.
I really want to like this product—ease of removal, brightness—but it has too many times put me in danger by unexpectedly leaving me in the dark.

Comments about Knog Boomer USB Rechargeable Rear Bike Light:
First I'd like to say I generally love Knog lights, but this thing totally sucks. I purchased the USB rechargeable Boomer tail light twice. The first one didn't really hold a charge too long. That one fell off my bike shortly after buying it (mounting is insecure and floppy). I have the USB rechargeable Boomer headlight and love it to death (bright, rechargeable, secure mounting), so I thought I'd give the taillight another go. The new tail light is even worse. It takes forever to charge (over 12 hours) and then it last for like 1-3 hours tops. I really don't like how it mounts either. I threw it in a drawer and bought a clip on light.I contacted Knog customer service and asked for a discount (not even a free light, just a discount), since I had purchased two defected lights. They weren't much help. They reiterated the charging directions to me and told me to deal with my merchant. I explained that I read the directions and was positive I was treating the light properly, since I had no trouble with the head light. Also, explained I don't have the receipt or original packaging as the light appeared to be working the first couple of hours I had it. Bottom line, I'm out [$] for buying two defective lights and Knog could care less even though I've probably bought over $200 in Knog lights over the past five years between my three bikes and gifts.

Comments about Knog Boomer USB Rechargeable Rear Bike Light:
I keep this on my mtb all the time because it's so light it's a great safety light. I usually ride early evenings and it's great to switch on if it gets dark out. I have yet to recharge it after a several months on my bike. Great for a lightweight safety light with the strobe effect. I was surprised to see it actually throws enough light onto the trail to make it useful for a dark ride on a gravel/paved trail.

Comments about Knog Boomer USB Rechargeable Rear Bike Light:
I use this regularly for group rides and out by myself. This is the third light I've purchased because the first two were too dim. This is by far the best safety light I've found.
