            I purchased the 'Tie Dye Peace' helmet for my 6 y o daughter, size S/M. Love the adjustment at the back of the helmet and that it comes with the extra pads. She loves the magnetic clip (no more getting her skin caught in the other type of clip!), and the cool rainbow colours! This helmet looks like it will protect her head better than the traditional style bike helmet.

              I received this as a gift from my wife. I had been looking at the Nutcase helmets for sometime now. The helmet seems pretty sturdy. The buckle system is nice with the magnet and all. The left ear strap has minimal adjustment, so it rubs on the ears all the time. The rear adjustment is descent. The biggest con with this helmet for me is the helmet pads. Obviously this helmet is not that well ventilated resulting in a person to sweat a lot even in cooler weather. The pads are a sponge for sweat and take for ever to dry out (days actually). I actually have to attach the helmet to a room fan on high speed just to dry this thing out. So if you not a fan of sweating profusely I would not buy this helmet. Overall the design is descent except the water absorbent helmet pads. Maybe I'll try one of those funny looking cycling hats under the helmet...

              Bike helmets look goofy. These are a little less goofy looking and are stylish. The chin strap clasp is great. It is magnetic so it slides into place on its own and holds mechanically until an easy release seperates it. It will not pinch your skin. The helmet is hotter and less ventalated than other helmets that I use. It is also a little heavier. It does not come with a visor. That is $15 extra.

              Long distance road racing isn't on my to-do list, so I wanted a motorcycle style crash hat. Found a neat looking black & white "Nutcase" URS-011L at REI, and after 10 or so outings am very happy with it. Much lighter than it looks, lots of vents, and once "customized" for my 7-3/8 head fits just right. 3 different thickness velcro pad "sets" included. Very cool magnetic slide chin snap stays secure, and yet is simple to release. The helmet gives me a degree of survival optimism, as more than half of my rides are in the crowded city.
