Comments about Serfas TL-ST Seat Stay Rear Bike Light - Black/Red:
The straps and shape were a perfect fit for the otherwise useless metal seat pack tabs on my Brooks B17 saddle. Two wraps and it's on tight with a wide low profile along the seat edge.
The gum rubber may not last over the long haul if sun dries it out but my bike is inside when not on the road. I rarely ride in rain. I have removed it quite a few times and have replaced the batteries but so far, no wear issues after 6 months.
Very bright with fresh batteries. The flash options are great too...from a slow blink to "WAKE UP BOZO!"
I will buy this again if it lasts at least a year.

Comments about Serfas TL-ST Seat Stay Rear Bike Light - Black/Red:
I really enjoyed the light at first. It was easy to install on my bike. I installed the light on my chain stay instead of my seat stay. The light has great visibility and it doesn't get in the way of anything. The only problem is that after I had it for awhile one of the silicon attachment straps broke.

Comments about Serfas TL-ST Seat Stay Rear Bike Light - Black/Red:
Not to invalidate the other commentators as it relates to their experiences but I've had great success with this product. A caveat however; I haven't ridden in a "Seattle downpour" so I don't know if this light will fill up with water and stop working.
I have ridden in the rain with this light and keeping in mind that the light is water resistant and NOT waterproof, I mounted it Under my saddle and on Top of a rear frame post. This keeps the light visible from the rear, and not exposed to saturation.
Insofar as the light button not working, it seems that if you mount this light on any post on your rig larger in circumference than your handlebars, the tension affects the button's ability to turn off. Simply take the light off the frame, turn the light off and remount.
If you're going "bogging" or riding in a steady downpour, you may want to heed the advice of my; most certainly more learned commentators and get another light. More than likely, if you don't saturate the light, your bang for the buck with this light is pretty high.

Comments about Serfas TL-ST Seat Stay Rear Bike Light - Black/Red:
I got this from the REI clearance section and I'm glad I didn't pay full price [$] It's very bright, good choice of modes, and super easy to attach anywhere but one of the cross members has broken so I had to pull it even tighter to cinch. I didn't have it long before this happenned and so I am worried that it may continue to break down. Great light as long as it stays on your bike!

Comments about Serfas TL-ST Seat Stay Rear Bike Light - Black/Red:
great bright light but mounting is suspect and it broke after first use. I just spent $10 on new batteries and it still didn't work. Waiting to see if Serfas replies on warranty.

Read the other reviews about reliability. It's garbage.

Comments about Serfas TL-ST Seat Stay Rear Bike Light - Black/Red:
Well, this light is not h20proof and I ride in rainy Seattle. When it gets wet, it doesn't work. Batteries are pricey too.
Good idea for a mounted spot on the seat stay and that's about it.

Comments about Serfas TL-ST Seat Stay Rear Bike Light - Black/Red:
This light seemed like a great addition to my rear rack - it's hard to find lights that mount properly to every rack. I had it for a few months before it just fell off at some point during my commute. The stretchyness of it means that it doesn't always hook onto itself properly and therefore can come off easily, it's hard to make sure it's secure. I suppose this could have been solved with some zip ties if I wanted to make it permanent. Before that happened, however, I was having some trouble switching between the different blinky settings as the button seemed to have busted. This whole apparatus comes apart very easily. Bummer, too, because it seemed like a good solution for those with a rear rack like me.

Comments about Serfas TL-ST Seat Stay Rear Bike Light - Black/Red:
This light is no good if you ever ride in the rain or your bike stays out in the rain. Had this light till one rain storm and then it filled up with water and failed. A complete waste of money.
