        I installed the fenders myself. While it was time-consuming, it wasn't overly challenging. It could be my installation or their fit on my bike, but the back fender rubs on my tire and makes riding difficult. The front fenders came loose at the attachment and started falling off while I was riding. Luckily I figured out the back fender and it works very well, but I am currently riding without a front fender.

        I bought these after trying several other fenders at REI that did not fit. I brought my 2010 Schwinn SuperSport cross/commuter bike into the REI shop and asked a tech to help me fine something that would work. He highly recommended these, saying they were a "sure thing." After purchasing them I tried to install them on my own and failed miserably. I took my bike and new fenders into my shop the next day, thinking perhaps I was doing something wrong. They were able to make the fenders work, but only by drilling several new holes into the plastic of the rear fender and attaching it with zipties. They keep me clean and dry, which is obviously the point, and have performed well since installation. I recommend these based on quality of materials and price, but be prepared to do a little extra work if necessary!

        This will be my third set of this particular fender. While I go to these because of their weight (my bike is heavy enough as it is), they seem to be susceptible to breakage at the rear support clip for the rear fender. Both of the previous sets had issues here. The first one seemed to be stressed a little from the installation and subsequently split across the width of the fender at the support clip. This didn't occur for quite some time. The second set had a problem almost immediately, where the clip actually broke off on my morning commute. Why? I don't know. I made especially sure not to have any sort of pull or tension on that clip and the rear fender still managed to fail in the same place. Installation was simple enough, but they're far from "unbreakable."

          I bought these fenders used and without hardware for my 700c roadbike. I attached them with a bolts and locking washers. 1,000 miles later and they still haven't come loose.

          Sturdy, lightweight, full-coverage fenders. I like 'em. Maybe the other reviewers problems are related to faulty hardware.

          Four of five stars only because the front fender was slightly twisted, maybe by the first owner.

              Plan ahead for the size of the bike's tires. From the Planet Bike website, it says these fenders fits tires up to 700cx28mm. The width of the fender itself is 35mm. Do not plan to use these fenders for tires wider than 28 mm.

                I bought two sets for my wife and I but I'm returning both this weekend. They were relatively easy to hook up but just about impossible to install without rubbing on my tires. After messing with them for an hour or more (after they were already installed) I thought I had succeeded. 24 hours later, I uninstalled them as they continued to rub. No thanks, guess I just get one of those rear fenders.

                    Probably do a good job to keep the rain off your frame, but be prepared to cut, drill, order extenders, and constantly adjust these. I've had them 3 months and they are still not even on my bike. After another failed attempt, I'm writing this review and then returning them
