I had purchased a 2 person REI tent almost exactly like this one about a year ago, but kind of wish I had found this one instead. Don't get me wrong - I love my REI tent and it's served me well, but I like this one better overall for most of my tent needs. If I'm going to backpack on my own I'll still use the REI due to the weight, but for backpacking with another person to split the weight or car camping on my own this will definitely be the tent I use. A 3 person tent in a non-backpacking style is so hard to find - in fact, I don't know if I've ever seen a 3 person non-backpacking style tent before this one. I just find it so difficult to get in and out of backpacking tents, not to mention I don't like the ventilation in most backpacking tents.

I absolutely love this tent - it's the perfect size for 2 people and gear. It's nearly the same style as the REI tent I have, but 10 inches taller, 6 inches wider and 18 inches deeper (but also 4# heavier - the downside, as are the stakes that come with it). For a single person car camping it's quite spacious - I'm even able to put a low to the ground chair in it for reading before bedtime or for when the rain is coming down.

I'm able to fit this in my 27" checked bag for when I want to fly to my destination. I also have an ultra light (and ultra expensive, but worth it) small pack size backpacking cot that fits in here beautifully with room to spare width-wise - the cot touches the walls on the REI one.

Quality-wise, I find it to be as good as the REI tent I have. I just wish it had a custom ground cloth like the REI, but that's easy enough to get with a tarp from a local store. Highly recommended.
