I bought these sandals to wear on a three week trip to Italy. They have excellent arch support and I found them to be very comfortable. I walked several miles per day on my vacation and had no pain in my feet. I felt they were almost as comfortable as having tennis shoes on and a whole lot cooler. I normally wear a women's 10 consistently in all shoes. I felt these ran a little short. My heal was on the edge of the back of the shoe bed. Also, because of the extra straps, they do not slip on as easily as other flip flop-type sandals. I generally have to bend over and help my feet into them. But once they are on, I find them to be totally comfortable and supportive.
