I have been using this bag since last November, and it has withstood alot of abuse! I mean alot!
Anyhow, the picture doesn't give it justice and what they didn't mention in the description is that it has a padded laptop slot. This bag also has enough spots for organization that you can multitask with it, for example I use it for school and later on I bike to work with a change of clothes. Also it isn't bulky when not using all the space it has.

I had been looking for a replacement messenger bag for some time. My old one (a JanSport) was wearing out after being used five days a week for the last 10 years. I have now used this new bag for about three months on an almost daily basis. It shows no sign of wear, it is comfortable, and it is sized to meet my needs.
This bag has meet all the requirements. It is large enough to easily carry a 9x13 Manila envelope. It has an outside mesh pocket that will carry a pint water bottle. Two zippered side pockets that I use to carry check books in one and bill delivery in the other. There is a pocket in the flap that I use to carry outgoing mail. There are two pockets under the "rain" flap: The good sized smaller zippered one has pockets in it that can be used for miscellaneous stuff, like an iPod, check books, USB devices, etc. The main pocket is divided into two parts: The back section is padded if you want to carry a computer which I do not do, and a large front general purpose section.
The bag's exterior is a heavy duty nylon "canvas". I have had good luck with the durability of this material so I expect the bag to last for many years of good service. The bag is lined with a water resistant material, however the zipper ends are exposed allowing some moisture, primarily from rain, to get into the bag. This is the main reason that I am giving it a 4 rather than a 5. The other con has to do with the strap. It gradually works itself longer over time because the strap adjuster slips. About every other week I have to shorten the strap.
